Some people believe
children are purpose.
Legacy.
Continuation.
Something that remains after you.
Others believe
children are responsibility.
Time.
Energy.
Sacrifice.
What would an ossan think about children?
Ossan’s answer
An ossan doesn’t believe
children are ownership.
Children are time
you are allowed
to influence.
And sometimes,
that time is shorter
than you expect.
An ossan accepts this quietly.
He doesn’t try
to design a child’s life.
He doesn’t disappear either.
He stays available.
That’s all.
Children cannot be controlled.
But environment can.
An ossan learns this late:
The most important things
children remember
are rarely
the things adults planned.
An ossan would stop here.
Not because parenting is simple,
but because presence costs something too.
