Some people try
to extend lifespan.
Better medicine.
Better habits.
Better monitoring.
Others focus
on living fully
no matter how long it lasts.
What would an ossan think about lifespan?
Ossan’s answer
An ossan doesn’t believe
lifespan is something
you negotiate with time.
Lifespan is limit
meeting awareness.
And sometimes,
awareness comes
later than we hoped.
An ossan accepts this quietly.
He doesn’t obsess over length.
He doesn’t waste what exists either.
He asks
what still deserves energy.
That’s all.
Lifespan cannot be expanded infinitely.
But meaning can.
An ossan learns this late:
The fear of death
is often smaller
than the fear
of not having lived honestly.
An ossan would stop here.
Not because lifespan is decided,
but because time costs something.
