Q&A 087 — If you had to move to Saturn, what would you actually bring?

If humans ever moved to Saturn,
I know we’d need equipment and systems.

But personally—
beyond survival—
what would you bring?

What matters enough
to carry that far?

Ossan’s answer:

I wouldn’t start with objects.

I’d start by asking
what I need unchanged.

Not entertained.
Not comforted.
Unchanged.

Saturn doesn’t care
who you were on Earth.

So whatever you bring
has to work without recognition.

For me, that narrows things quickly.

Something that creates rhythm
when days stop resembling each other.

Something that lets thought
move without performance.

Something that reminds me
I’m still here
even when nothing answers back.

The interesting part
isn’t the item.

It’s noticing
how little survives that filter.

Most things we think we need
depend on being seen.

Saturn removes that dependency.

And once you’ve imagined that,
you don’t really need to go anywhere.

You just start packing differently
for the life you’re already in.
